School Health Promotion in Europe: theory, research and Practice Summer School, 20-24 September 2010.

This course will provide a unique opportunity to critically discuss the latest theoretical perspective, research findings and dilemma from practice in an internation learning environment, with the input of top researchers and practitioners from the field.
Target audience: a wide range of practitioners and professionals: academics/researchers/PHD students (school health promotion or education) as well as professionals (health, education, physical activity/sport, voluntary sector etc. Maximum participants: 30.

Australian national conference on School Health Promotion, Perth

6 October 2010 - 8 October 2010

The Australian Health Promoting Schools Association holds its 8th National Conference in Perth, Western Australia from 6-8 October 2010. The theme for the conference is Connected Schools, Connected Communities. The aim is to connect over 200 delegates with a number of international, national and local keynote speakers (including Goof Buijs, SHE manager) who are highly respected world experts in school  health promotion. During programmed breaks you will be able to connect with peak health organisations that support schools, implement programs and develop resources. This event is seen as a unique professional development opportunity to connect to world leaders in health promoting schools, further your understanding of the Health Promoting Schools Framework and thus create environments that support students, staff and whole school communities to achieve better outcomes in health and education.
