What is RSS?

RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. It's an easy way to keep up with news and information, and helps you to avoid the conventional methods of browsing or searching for information on websites. The content you're interested in can be delivered directly to you without cluttering your inbox with email messages. This content is called a "feed."

What do you need for RSS?

To be able to read RSS you need an RSS reader. In this reader you indicate which RSS feeds you would like to follow. For adding a new feed follow the directions for your reader.
You can download the following readers for free on the internet:

  • Bloglines is an online reader. After registration you can add feeds directly.
  • Feedreader is an offline program which you have to download and install.
